Lesson’s Learned…

Our past is what has shaped us and defined our character.

If we don’t learn from our past, we are destined to face the same struggles in the future.

Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow from the day that is behind us.

Take time to do a “Lesson’s Learned” and contemplate the events of the day.

Take into consideration:

  • Your words
  • Your attitude
  • Your actions

Did you speak with respect? Did you share your knowledge open and freely?

Did you think your way was right, no matter what? How do you think you came across to others?

Did you show gratitude and appreciation? Did you do what you said you would do?

These are a few things to ponder as you open your mind and heart, and put your ego aside. Be a better version of you tomorrow.

Every day is a new opportunity…you have the opportunity to start the new day to use your words differently, change your attitude and take different actions.

You can also use it as an opportunity to go back and apologize to anyone you might have done wrong and ask for a new start.

It is a step in changing how you approach your new day.

We have so much to learn every day. Determine what you will do differently.

Love, hugs and growth fill your days!

Cheers to Healthy Choices…

When was the last time you took a shower?

We make it a priority to keep our bodies clean on the outside, but we don’t think twice about keeping water flowing through our bodies on the inside.

There are many benefits from drinking water. I listed a few below.

Today think about water differently. Think about the benefits you will gain from drinking water. Put the coffee, soda, juice, etc. consumption on the back burner until you at least drink your daily amount of water.

You have the control to choose to make water a PRIORITY in your day. Consume your required water amount first before drinking anything else.

Benefits:

  • Assists with weight loss. Take your body weight divide in half and that is how many ounces of water you should consume each day. If you are 150 lbs, then you should drink 75 oz of water every day. If you go to grab a snack…drink some water first, it will leave you feeling full!
  • Balance body fluids, if you have more coming out than going in, you get dehydrated. It helps flush out toxins in your body.
  • Keeps your skin looking good. When you’re dehydrated, your skin looks more dry and wrinkled which improves with hydration.
  • Helps you go poop! It keeps things flowing and prevents constipation!

Tips to drink more:

  • Drink 4-8 oz of water before every meal. And drink water with every meal.
  • Eat more fruits and vegetables, about 20% of fluid intake comes from food.
  • Keep water handy, at your desk, in your car, when you go to the gym, etc.
  • You can add lemon, lime, cucumber practically any fruit or veggies to give it a natural taste.

Don’t take water for granted.

Raise a glass of water and make a toast to a New Year of healthy choices.

Live strong, and healthy my friends!
Love and hugs.

Looking Forward….

Your past has come and gone.

Learn from it, evaluate it…but don’t dwell in it.

Your past is part of you who are, it brought you to this day…TODAY.

You can reinvent yourself however you want.

You have a new day, a new hour to try something different.

It’s never too late to begin.

A New Year is upon us…you can make a fresh start on Jan 1st, but don’t forget you have opportunities to make a fresh start at anytime throughout the year.

Best wishes, health, journeys, adventures and new beginnings for your 2017!

Love and hugs,

Susan

Underestimate…

Don’t underestimate your true potential!

How often do we place limits on ourselves? Why do we allow doubt and fear to rule our lives?

It starts with our words. Words are powerful. Words can build us up and in a blink of an eye they can tear us down, just like that!

What would happen if you really poured out all of the love you have stored up in your heart?

How would you feel if you released all bitterness and freely forgave everyone and everything in your life?

If you truly opened your mind to all higher thoughts and creativity that lays dormant in your brain, how would your life be different?

What if your world only knew possibilities and great achievement? Life would look differently, wouldn’t it?

We all came into this world overflowing with so much PURPOSE and LOVE. What will it take to change your vocabulary to include “I CAN, I WILL!” and truly believe it?

We all have potential that is hidden deep inside us like a treasure waiting to be found and realized. Why not set it free? Why not be everything you can be and embrace every challenge that is set in front of you as a time to shine?

Change your perspective, choose powerful words to move you forward!

Do not underestimate who you are…what you can do by releasing all of yourself to be free and truly believe it with your whole heart and soul!

Love and hugs!

Life Patterns…

Have you ever reflected on your life to identify recurring patterns?

woman-163426_640

These patterns might be around decisions you made, or repeating issues with different people and relationships, or even about breaking a bad habit.  These patterns come with us from our childhood. When you reflect you will see some of the same problems you faced have repeated time and time again. You will also realize that you did the same thing to try to resolve it and got the same result each time.

So why do the same thing expecting a different result and it ends up the same way it did all of the other times?

To get different results become aware of those repeating patterns in your life . When the problem comes up again…take a different approach. Break your patterns by doing something different. If you do this, you begin to disrupt the patterns which will yield different results.

Hold your mirror up, and look deep into yourself. The problem you need to resolve is something you need to change within your own being. It’s easy to place blame on others, but it isn’t about others, it’s about you. It’s about the change you need to make for yourself in order for you to grow and take responsibility for your life.

Don’t do life the easy way. Challenge yourself everyday to think differently, have an open mind, change the way you do things. Make new patterns, blaze a new trail! Be in charge of your life!

Love and Hugs,

Susan

Application: Take time to reflect and see how many times the same problem reappears in your life. Take note. Think about why this problem keeps presenting itself to you. What do you need to do, what do you need to change, what will disrupt the problem when it reappears again and how will you break through to yield a different result?

Patience…

Body Renovation takes time and patience. It begins when you come to the realization that you want to make changes in your life. It will not happen a minute sooner. Something you see, hear, or experience will trigger your desire to bring about change.

I wasn’t aware of my body and what I was putting in it.

Thinking differently…

Our thoughts consume our day. When it comes to thoughts we all are “ADD” bouncing from one thought to another. Our thoughts will build us up, or destroy us in our tracks. The list below is what I believe about thoughts:

  • it is easier being negative / pessimistic; you need to make a conscious effort to think positive.
  • the past holds an authority over the way you think.
  • other people can influence your thinking.
  • your environment (how and where you grew up) has an impact on your thinking.
  • anything is possible…if you put your mind to it.

…your journey to change…

When you look in a mirror what is it that you see? A reflection that changes every day. Change is happening all around us. Some people embrace change, while others will dig their feet in; resisting it.

What triggers changes in our lives? Is it the longing to be happy? Is it based on the influence of others? Is it the desire for personal growth to gain more knowledge? Is it required for health reasons? Is it…<what’s your trigger>.
