Lesson’s Learned…

Our past is what has shaped us and defined our character.

If we don’t learn from our past, we are destined to face the same struggles in the future.

Every day is an opportunity to learn and grow from the day that is behind us.

Take time to do a “Lesson’s Learned” and contemplate the events of the day.

Take into consideration:

  • Your words
  • Your attitude
  • Your actions

Did you speak with respect? Did you share your knowledge open and freely?

Did you think your way was right, no matter what? How do you think you came across to others?

Did you show gratitude and appreciation? Did you do what you said you would do?

These are a few things to ponder as you open your mind and heart, and put your ego aside. Be a better version of you tomorrow.

Every day is a new opportunity…you have the opportunity to start the new day to use your words differently, change your attitude and take different actions.

You can also use it as an opportunity to go back and apologize to anyone you might have done wrong and ask for a new start.

It is a step in changing how you approach your new day.

We have so much to learn every day. Determine what you will do differently.

Harmonize your whole being.

Emerge from compartmentalizing to integrating your MIND, BODY and SPIRIT to dance gracefully TOGETHER. Find your perfect BALANCE and TRUE essence of your being.

Nurture your MIND with knowledge, reading, writing, positive thoughts, and deep meaningful conversations.

Nurture your BODY with healthy foods, exercise, deep breathing, and body work.

Nurture your SPIRIT with love, forgiveness, prayer and meditation.

Challenge your daily patterns, change them to expand your experience of life.

Find your true self. Focus on how to live fully. Bring your whole being into HARMONY.

Pause….

The moment you become aware that you are getting frustrated.

  1. Take several deep breaths
  2. Reflect on where you are holding stress in your body
  3. Take several more breaths and release the tension from your body
  4. Refocus your thoughts
  5. Flip your frustration around and think of a different approach
  6. Take several more breaths, continue to calm yourself
  7. Forgive the frustration, release it
  8. Think of your best hope for that frustration
  9. Smile, continue to breathe
  10. Come from your new perspective to conquer your frustration

Take a moment…

Today I made sure I greeted every person I came in contact with;

a big smile,

a genuine hello,

and a small compliment.

I observed their body language before I greeted them and provided the compliment.

66a2bffa43dad6f396c85cd868b3b942What a difference in the way they held themselves. After receiving the compliment they stood a little taller, you could see them light up inside and they opened themselves up.

It was only a couple of minutes of interaction that clearly made them feel good. Be sure to take time to really recognize the goodness in everyone you meet.

Excuses….

It’s easy to find an excuse not to do something…

I don’t have enough time.

It’s too late.

I’m not that good at that.

I don’t have enough money.

What if you eliminated those excuses?

What if you removed the roadblocks?

Do you think your life would look much different?

Remove your excuses.

Make things a priority.

If you don’t, who will?

The Choice is yours….

When the alarm goes off, you can keeping pressing the snooze alarm, dreading to get up to face the day….or you can get out of bed embrace the day and prepare yourself for a day of possibilities!

As you drive to work you can curse the driver in front of you, or cut some person off in traffic…or you can send positive thoughts to the drivers around you, let the person into traffic and be understanding.

You can skip breakfast and grab some donuts… or you have some healthy food choices ready to fuel your body, nutrition is key to a healthy body!

You can find excuses not to workout and exercise… or you can make exercise a priority and build muscle mass and strengthen your core.

You can sit on the couch and watch TV mindlessly… or you can get a book and learn something new, create your own adventure using the author’s words and expand your thinking!

You can lie and be dishonest and feel like you are getting what is owed to you…or you can act from an honest heart and lead with integrity with everything you do..

You can play the victim card and think that life is unfair… or you can change your thoughts, take accountability for your life and make things happen!

The reality is we have choices every day. No matter what, we are in control of the choices we make. We need to make good choices and taking action to realize our dreams. Without action you find yourself going nowhere fast!
