This isn’t a recent picture, but I love the BIGNESS and Point of View this photo provides.
This photo is from hiking Mount Grays, the tenth highest summit (14,278′) of the Rocky Mountains. This was somewhere between the 11,500′ – 12,000′ location on the mountain.
For a moment, as I was looking around seeing the clouds fill in so you couldn’t see land below, I felt as if I died and went to heaven.
We were above the clouds, with a few peaks poking out. I had never experienced something like this on a hike before. It was so amazing!
That is the beauty of hiking 14ers, is that you never know what magic awaits you above tree line.
